BACKUP &
DISASTER
RECOVERY
Most London businesses have backups. Far fewer have tested, working backups with a real recovery plan. Coreitech manages your entire backup and DR strategy — so when the worst happens, you're back online in hours, not weeks.
Backup & DR services
for London businesses
Cloud Backup
Automated, policy-driven backups to UK-based cloud infrastructure — replicated for resilience.
Microsoft 365 Backup
M365 data is not automatically backed up by Microsoft. We protect Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive independently.
Immutable Backups
Ransomware-proof backups that cannot be encrypted or deleted — even by an attacker with admin credentials.
Disaster Recovery Planning
Documented DR plans with defined RTO and RPO, tested annually. Know exactly how fast you can recover.
Server & VM Recovery
Bare-metal restore, virtual machine replication, and fast failover for on-premise and hybrid environments.
Recovery Testing
Regular recovery drills so you know your backup actually works — before you need it most.
Backup & DR
questions answered
Q.Does Microsoft 365 back up my data automatically?
No. Microsoft 365 retains deleted items for a limited period and has basic versioning, but it is not a proper backup solution. Data deleted by a ransomware attack, rogue employee, or accidental deletion may not be recoverable. A dedicated third-party backup is essential.
Q.What is the difference between backup and disaster recovery?
Backup is the process of copying your data to a secondary location. Disaster recovery is the documented plan and technology to restore your IT systems to full operation after a major failure. Most businesses need both — backup provides the data, DR provides the process to restore it quickly.
Q.What is RTO and RPO?
RTO (Recovery Time Objective) is how long it takes to restore operations after an incident. RPO (Recovery Point Objective) is how much data you can afford to lose — e.g. 4-hour RPO means you back up every 4 hours. We help you define these based on your business needs and build a solution that meets them.
Q.How often should backups be tested?
At minimum, quarterly. Most businesses that discover their backup is broken only find out when they need to restore — which is too late. We include scheduled recovery tests as part of our managed backup service.
Q.How quickly can you restore our systems after a ransomware attack?
With immutable cloud backups and a tested DR plan, most SMEs can be fully restored within 2–8 hours. Without a backup, ransomware victims typically face weeks of downtime and significant data loss. We document your specific RTO as part of onboarding.
