IT FOR
REMOTE
WORKERS
Hybrid and remote working has fundamentally changed IT security. Traditional perimeter defences don't work when your staff work from home, cafes, and client sites. Coreitech delivers modern Zero Trust IT for distributed teams.
IT services for
remote & hybrid teams
Endpoint Management (MDM)
Every laptop and device managed via Intune — policies enforced, encryption active, and remote wipe available for lost devices.
Zero Trust Security
Conditional Access ensures only compliant, managed devices can access company data — regardless of location or network.
Secure Remote Access
Azure AD / Entra ID SSO and Conditional Access replacing legacy VPNs — faster, more secure, and simpler for users.
MFA & Identity Management
Multi-factor authentication on all systems — Microsoft Authenticator, hardware tokens — so stolen passwords don't lead to breaches.
Remote Helpdesk Support
15-minute response SLA with screen share support — remote workers get the same quality of IT support as office staff.
Hybrid Collaboration
Microsoft Teams Phone, SharePoint, and OneDrive configured for seamless hybrid working — meetings, files, and comms unified.
Remote working IT
questions answered
Q.What are the IT security risks of remote working?
Remote workers face several security risks that office environments partially mitigate: home WiFi networks are typically insecure (no corporate firewall), personal devices may be used alongside company devices, phishing attacks are more prevalent outside the office environment, and VPNs are often misconfigured or bypassed. A properly configured Zero Trust architecture — using Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Intune — addresses all of these.
Q.Is a VPN still necessary for remote workers with Microsoft 365?
Not necessarily. Traditional VPNs were required to access on-premise systems. With Microsoft 365 and Azure-hosted workloads, a properly configured Conditional Access policy with MFA provides better security than a VPN — without the performance bottleneck. We help businesses migrate from VPN-dependent architectures to modern Zero Trust models.
Q.How do you support remote workers who have IT problems?
Our helpdesk team provides remote support via screen share within 15 minutes of a ticket being raised. For hardware issues, we can ship replacement hardware to a home address or dispatch an on-site engineer. We also deploy endpoint monitoring so we often identify and resolve issues before the user notices.
Q.How do you secure home WiFi networks?
We don't — and nor should IT providers try to control home networks, which are personal property. Instead, we implement device-level security (encryption, Conditional Access, compliance policies) so that even on an insecure network, company data cannot be accessed without authenticated, compliant devices. This is the correct approach — and is more secure than trying to "secure" thousands of different home WiFi networks.
